A very unusual, early Victorian brass snuff/tobacco box. Decorated with a royal coat-of-arms, the box is engraved ''Willm Ralston, Nov 20th 1844'.

The box is lead lined with an intricate embossed foliage design running round its edge. The box's condition is commensurate with its age, but the hinge does have a number of teeth missing through over 180 years of use.
