An original 18th Century engraving of St Thomas's Hospital, London.

This engraving by William Henry Toms - plate number 83 - comes from William Maitland's 'The History and Survey of London From its Foundation to the Present Time', first published in 1739.

This particular piece comes from Thomas Osborne's 1760 Third edition which placed copper plate numbers in the top left corner.

Notably, on the reverse of the mounted and 'Hogarth' framed engraving, there is a sticker from Fores Ltd, a leading New Bond Street dealer in works of art.

The item is in very good condition.
